  • How do the wireless (RTK) robots work?
Kress RTKn technology uses the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) to get autonomous geo-spatial positioning with 2 to 5 metres accuracy, then applies real-time kinematic (RTK) correction data to achieve centimetre-level accuracy. To ensure centimetre-level accuracy, Kress’ expanding proprietary network of reference GNSS receivers continuously delivers RTK correction data to your mower via the mobile phone network.
  • What if there’s poor satellite signal?
A number of factors can degrade satellite positioning accuracy. Should satellite signals be blocked by buildings and trees, not even RTK correction data could help. Here’s where inertial navigation and odometry take over to precisely route the mower until it reaches an open sky area and satellite navigation is restored.
  • Step-by-step guide to changing blades on your Automower
Make sure that the main switch is turned off. Put on protective gloves. Turn the robotic lawn mower upside down. Rotate the skid plate so that its hole aligns with the screw for the blade. Unscrew the blade. Use a straight slot or cross-tip screwdriver, preferably magnetic for easier removal of the screw. Pry apart the skid plate and blade disc a little and remove the blade and screw. Clean out any dirt using a dish-washing brush and a soft damp cloth. Screw the new blade tight with a new screw. Always replace the screw at the same time as the blade. Be careful to only use one blade with each screw: otherwise, the cutting system may become imbalanced. Check that the blades spin freely.
  • How long do the blades last on a Husqvarna Automower?
The normal lifetime of Automower® cutting blades is 3 to 6 weeks when used under favourable conditions, but the lifetime of the blades varies and depends for instance on: Blade model. For example, Husqvarna Automower® Endurance blades provide three times the lifetime compared to classic Automower® Blades, and Husqvarna Endurance HSS Blades even longer. Operating time and size of the work area. Type of grass and seasonal growth. Soil, sand and use of fertilisers. The presence of objects such as cones, windfalls, toys, tools, stones, roots, etc.
  • When should I change the blades on my Automower?
When the cutting blades on your Automower® robotic lawn mower become worn, or when the tip of the grass blades begin to whiten and look frayed when cutting, it is time to change them to maintain performance. Make sure that you always use original blades and screws from Husqvarna, and always replace the screw at the same time as the blade when carrying out maintenance, otherwise the screw can become worn out and cause the blade to come loose when operating. Note that in the spring, the grass grows fast and contains a lot of sap that can build up on the blades. It is recommended to check and, if necessary, change the blades more often during this period
  • What does the blue flashing light on the base station mean?
A flashing blue light on the charging station means that the Automower robotic lawn mower is not able to detect the loop signal from the boundary wire. The message No loop signal is displayed when the Automower® robotic lawn mower is not able to detect the loop signal from the boundary wire. Common causes: No power supply to the charging station. The power supply unit may be disconnected from a wall socket or a house fuse may have blown. The boundary wire is not properly connected to the charging station. The boundary wire is broken: for example, it may have been cut during gardening. You will see the error message No loop signal on the mower display and in the Automower Connect app if you have a compatible Automower.
  • What happens if I do not change the blades on my robotic lawn mower?
Working with blunt blades gives a poorer mowing result. The grass is not cut cleanly and more energy is needed, resulting in the robotic lawn mower not mowing the expected area size.
  • Why won't my blades start on my ride on mower?
Check list: Is the grass box fitted correctly?
  • Why won't my ride on start?
